Model Number: 110.C66532500 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
My Kenmore Dryer of about 5 years, model 110.C66532500 29" cabinet is not functional.
I noted that the timer is not moving with no heat coming out and the dryer does not shut off. I have gone on to search the forum. Could it be the problem of the timer ? Ads By Google Related Models |

I took out the Dryer Heating Element and found a break in the coil. The part number of this Dryer Heater Element is :- Whirlpool Electric Dryer Heating Element 279838. I think this could be the problem ??? ---------------------------------------------- |

Yes that is probably your problem.
In many units when in an auto mode the timer motor gets power through the heating coil when the coil is off. Therefore a bad (open) heating coil will stop the timer advancing. Note: In a timed dry mode the timer motor usually gets power directly from the line so it should have advanced in timed dry.
