The purple wire going from the motor to the heating element came off of the element and shorted onto the dryer housing. I replaced the connector and the dryer will turn on but not heat up. I have tested all 3 thermostat's and safety and they all are showing continuity. Could it have shorted something on the motor and is there any way to test it? Is there anything else to check? Thank you, any help is appreciated.

GE does not release technical data, but there should be a tech sheet under the console with a wiring diagram on it that may be able to help you.
