f&P topload degx1 screeching sound
Model Number: degx1 Brand: -other- Age: 1 - 5 years
My topload dryer made horrible screeching sounds about a year ago and AE appliance replaced the bearings on the heat side of the dryer. Now it is doing the same thing again. Loud, constant screeching. It sounds like it is coming from both sides though. Also I have been having to manually reset the dryer because it overheats. It is out of warranty. I have the service manual on it that I found on the internet. Please tell me what you think this is and let me know if this is something that can be repaired ourselves. Thanks alot.
