I have replaced the cycling thermostat, thermal fuse and verified the vents are clear with good airflow. Yet the dryer gets too hot, the timer seems to work normally, it goes through the cool down cycle and it does seem to cool down only at the very end of the cycle just before the timer shuts it off. But the dryer is too hot during the rest of the cycle. When you open the dryer during the cycle the clothes are very hot to the touch and come out very wrinkled and smell very hot. Everyone says it is bad airflow well I don't know what else to do, I have gone through the whole venting system and it is clean as a whistle. Any ideas before I buy a new dryer?
Thanks,
Connie

Did you check the high limit fuse?

The internal bias thermostat is the thermostat that controls the temperature of the dryer. The high limit fuse, is a saftey. It does not control operating temperature. So many times, people say the vent is clear, and then when I get there it is not. So, the best way to check this dryer, is to pull the vent hose off at the wall, and leave it on the dryer, and run a cycle, and see if the clothes get too hot. About the cool down, it cools down the last ten minutes of the dry cycle. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
