We have a Maytag dryer model DE303, it is at least 17 years old and has been trouble free until yesterday. There is now a rumble when the dryer is running it appears to be coming from the fan that pushes the hot air out the exhaust. The parts are available should I repair or replace the dryer due to it's age? I am pretty handy and if I repair what is the easiest way to get to that "blower fan" since it is furtherest from the access panel in the rear of the dryer.
Or do I just let it rumble away......

You will be hard pressed to find a modern dryer built as good as your present one. Also other than hardware parts it looks like just abotb everything is still available.

The most common cause of a rumble is a rear support roller going out of round.
Could also be lint or something in the blower wheel causing it to vibrate as it spins.

So if it is in good shape, I would open it up and check the following and replace them as necessary.
Rear rollers/shafts, belt, idler wheel, front support glides, drum seals and other internal seals. Basically give it an overhaul.

Also give the interior a good cleaning and clean/check your vent system.
