Dryer runs but won't heat. The thermistor original equipment part number is 3976615. What should the ohm reading be on this part if it is working correctly?

Also wondering how you are supposed to get to the heating element to test it and/or replace it, as it appears to be right in the middle of the bottom of the dryer where it it can be seen but not easily reached. Kenmore (Whirlpool) used to put the heating element behind the back panel where it was easy to get to, but this one sure isn't easy to reach.

Any suggestions or information would be appreciated. Thanks, Roger
