Dryer Repair

I have a gas dryer that doesn't heat up but otherwise runs fine. Reading all the posts regarding this issueon this excellent site gives me hope to fixing this issue. What I need help with is taking my unit apart. People talk about looking at the igniter glowing and I haven't a clue how they are doing that. Are you running without the front panel? Are you viewing from behind the unit?

You probably can see it if you remove the top panel or the rear access panel. The disassembly instructions are attached to the reply.
