We have a Whirlpool duet dryer, that wont do anything when you push the control button, I did the tech sheet and thought I had it narrowed down to the Machine Control Electronic's board, Replaced it same results, before I replace the console electronics panel, any insight or direction someone can suggest:cool:

Have you checked:
The power.
The thermal fuse.
The belt switch.

Have you tried any of the diagnostics?

Yes, I ran the tech sheet, checking power, button funtions ect. It all pointed to the machine elec. board. The machine now operates, but the digit/ time display is unreadable. Is it possible a spike fryed both the display, and machine boards.

Since the display drivers and the display seem to be all on the control board my first thought would be that you have received a defective control board.

So, since the board I bought has a no electronics return policy, is there a check for just the display, I have the tech sheet for readings, ohms ect but no specific test for the digit display. I think I'll install the original board and see what happens that way. Thanks for your input, were really greatfull
