My dryer is making a thud sound while running. It sounds like a shoe in the dryer. I have read that the dyer slides or belt would be the first things to look at.

How do I tell if they are bad? Where can I find a service manual for this dryer.

Thanks,

Seth

Setn,

You have to take the dryer apart to check the rear bearing (#12 on the diagram), the drum glide (#24) and the felt seals (#20 & #21 on the diagram).

The disassembly instructions are attached to the reply.

- The rear bearing assembly Part number: AP2142648
Part number: AP2142648

- The drum front glide (two are needed) Part number: AP2107932
Part number: AP2107932

- The upper felt seal Part number: AP3579413
Part number: AP3579413

- The lower felt seal Part number: AP3220737
Part number: AP3220737

Since the dryer is 4 years old. Are you recommending I replace all of those parts or just any of them that look worn?

Thank you for the help.

Setn,

I would replace only worn out parts. It's also a good time to clean the dryer.
