I've got a whirlpool duet dryer, it will turn on and give indicator control readings but won't start in any cycle....just beeps from the mother board. After reading other post, I have come to the conclusion that it is the dryer door latch having a problem sending message of being closed. I will replace that, but I also had the light bulb go out around the same time that this problem occurred. If I replace the latch do I have to replace the bulb, or can I just leave it out?

Keith, Sounds like a bad door switch, or at least the place to start. You may not need the drum light , if the door switch is bad, But, were it me I would order both, that way, you've got a spare. We could have given you the part numbers,and circuit checks, if you had supplied a model number. Good Luck, :cool: :cool: :cool:
