Unhappy losing heat in dryer!!
Model Number: 110.72612101   Brand: Kenmore   Age: 1 - 5 years

My dryer starts initially like it should. But after running for about 5-10 min. it is "losing" heat. It seems to be about half the temp. it should be. I have cleaned the whole unit out. Unhooked the air discharge and still does the same thing.

I have also replaced the cycling thermostat. It did not help.

Anybody have any ideas??

Thanks!!

you may want to pull the heater and check it visually. not with a meter....coil may have broken and grounded to housing

sorry its been a long day, sounds like the gas valves are dropping out this is a common problem.if you can watch it while its running you will probably see that its only lighting every few cycles... glow bar works but no gas.its better to replace both coils at same time,by the way 70 nova brings back old memories of my nova
