Model Number: LES5700XNOP Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
Changed heating element last week. The old one burnt in two. The dryer works but it seems to be to hot. I checked both thermostats with an ohm. meter. they both were at .3 ohms

Did you check them with the wires disconnected? Sounds like the high limit isn't working.

It should not exceed 165ish. If it does then your cycling thermostat needs replacement.
