I have a Bosch electric oven with convection. The regular oven works fine. The convection element is not heating. The convection fan still works. By replacing the element and the sensor do I solve the problem?

Remove the rear baffle (#35 on the break down diagram) and the convection heating element.

Check the heating element for continuity and replace if it's open. You do not have to replace the sensor.

If there is nothing wrong with the heating element, then remove any one wire from the heating element and check for 240VAC between these wires. Post the results.

- The part number for the convection heating element is AP3775599

Here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch oven Model HBL642

Thanks Gene I was clearing out my e-mails and noted I hadn't replied to your advice. The element was bad per the electrical check. I ordered the part replaced it and the convection is working. Thanks so much for your help.

Gene,

All oven functions work except for the Convection Bake.

Is it likely to be this round element?

Thanks,
cas1

Thanks for the response,

Does the part AP3775599 for the Convection Bake need any seals or other things. If I need a seal or other bits, I would like to order them at the same time.

Thanks, cas1

I do not think there are any seals. You can use all previous instructions for tommett.
