Kenmore dryer not heating

I recently ordered part #4391960 which is the Heating element. I need to know if I also need to order the dryer thermal fuse. Dryer does everything besides heat.

Did you have any heat problems before this occurred ?

If you had no heating problems, and you find that the element is broken and not shorted out, you will most likely not need a thermal fuse.

If you have a test meter or light you can check the fuse for a closed(infinite) circuit.
