Model Number: HYE3658AYW Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
The dryer does not turn off when using the sensor drying cycle. The clothes dry but the dryer just doesn't shut off automatically, nor does the dial change as the cycle progresses. The time dry cycle works fine as does everything else about the dryer. The repairman changed the moisture sensor yesterday but the problem has continued. What else could the issue be?

as long as the clothes dry, then the heating system is working ... Sometimes, it may be taking an excessive amount of time to be drying a load of clothes .. i would first try to run the dryer with the venting off of the back of the dryer ( on automatic cycle )... see if timer turns / turns off ... if it does then you have a resticted vent, otherwise usually a fault thermostat...
