kenmore dryer

i have a used kenmore dryer and washer that are stacked on top of eachother. the other night i was drying some clothes and the dryer stopped working mid cycle. the dryer waasnt making any noise near the motor so i know it wasnt the belt and the heat was working fine.so i took it apart and didnt notice any corrosion or anything that looked like it was burnt. the only noise i hear is the click of when i push the button and nothing happens. i bought it used so i have no manual and not sure what the model number is....any ideas please help....
