Default dryer has no heat
Model Number: lgr5620kq1   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years   

My Dryer Would Make A Little Noise When Started Only With Heavy Loads Like Jeans Noise Would Go Away After About One Minite But Now I Have No Heat, Drum Is Still Turning ,cold Air Is Blowing From The Vent, And The Timer Is ticking but not Working ,any Answers

You probably have a blown thermostat or element. If you have an ohm meter your can check these pretty easily.

Default if it runs but no heat then the fuse is fine but...

The high limit is probably fried. Check it out: a back of a dryer.jpg to the right of the pic is the heater element. At the top of the heat element chamber is the problem. That dang high limit is probably blown. The kit: a kenmore dryer limit kit.jpg Has both the high limit 250 degree limit (pictured on the right) and the higher limit 300 degree (pictured on the left,the smaller of the 2). The reason they give both limits is obviously the 250 degree limit did not work and the 300 degree limit got killed!. So both limits need to be replaced.

These are cheaper than the element too, but I would test each part with an ohm meter to make sure before ordering parts. The above mentioned thermostats Whirlpool part number is 279816, element part number is 279838. (Almost funny when you know those parts off the top of your head)
