You have to check for continuity:

1. The igniter (#74 on the break down diagram)

2. The flame sensor (#79 on the break down diagram)

3. The high limit thermostat (#33 on the break down diagram)

4. The cycling thermostat (#15 on the break down diagram)

Any part with open circuit has to be replaced.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Frigidaire dryer Model FDGB23RGS1

Gene.

Both thermostats and sensor circuits are fine. Igniter showed nothing, so i bought a new igniter and the dryer still doesn't work. Check the circuit on the new igniter and it only registers up to 3. Looks like a faulty part.
Thanks for your input Gene. I think I might have to call someone now though. Need the thing fixed!!!

I JUST FINISHED FIXING MY DRYER WHICH IS A KENMORE, IT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. THE FIRST THING TO CHECK IS THE THERMAL FUSE,IF IT IS BLOWN YOUR IGNITER WILL NOT WORK. THE IGNITER IS WHAT TURNS THE GAS ON. TO CHECK THE FUSE YOU NEED A VOLT-OHM METER. CHECK FOR CONTINUITY TO SEE IF FUSE IS GOOD. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED ANYMORE INFO. GEORGE E GEONDEE@ATT.NET
