I need to 9install a new thermal limiter, item #36 in the part diagram. My problem is how to open the cabinet.

Look at this parts diagram. P16c0105 control panel replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE FDE648GHS0 Frg(v1) | AppliancePartsPros.com

Take a putty knife and on each front corner of the dryer top, push in on part 7, its a spring clip. Lift that corner, then go to the other side and find that clip, push in and then the you should be able to raise the top up.

Your instructions were perfect! I opened the cabinet and replaced the thermal loimiter. Thank you.
