Dryer will not start. The light does come on in the dryer. Have checked the door switch and I think the thermal fuse. Nothing has checked bad. (ohm good). What else can I check to see why this will not work before checking the motor.

Make sure you checked the real thermal fuse (#6 on the diagram) for continuity. The normal reading should be close to 0 Ohms.

Checked this fuse and there was continuity. What is the next thing I check if this part is good?

This is your wiring diagram. Wiring information replacement parts for MAYTAG MDE308DAYW Dryer - Ele | AppliancePartsPros.com

I'd check the timer. It could be your motor, it could be a broken wire, it could be missing voltage, or it could be a contact burnt off inside the timer.
