Dryer runs as long as I hold the starter switch over in the start postition. Once I let go it stops. :confused:

Replace the start swithc and you should be good to go. Part number AP2042901

Respectfully, I dont agree, Check the "Broken Belt switch" located on the belt idler pulley arm, If its ok, You have a bad Motor!!!!
