My Maytag DE312, series 02 has stopped producing heat. Two questions:
1. If I replace the Thermostate (part# AP4036890) and the Heater Assembly Complete (part# AP4290655) have I replaced all the parts that can prevent the dryer from producing heat?

2. What side of the dryer do I access the heating assembly and thermostate?

Thanks,

BBuckvi

BBuckvi,

1) Replacing the thermostat and heater assembly, will probably solve your
no heat situation.

But No, There are several other parts and wiring involved in the heat
circuit(timer, Regulating thermostat, and the wires between them all).

2) You access the heater and thermostat by removing the front panel.

Unplug the machine at the wall,
remove the 2 screws from the lower area of the front panel(kick plate
area) and lift out on the bottom of the panel and panel will unhinge
from the top assembly.

Unclip the door switch wire harness from the panel so you can move the
panel to the side for easier access to the heater and thermostat,
located on the right side of the base , under the tumbler.

Reverse the procedure and test for heat.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
