I have a Maytag lde8200acl dryer. It works great except for one little problem: it never shuts off. We bought this dryer 'used' and it shut off just fine then.

Because the timer on this dryer relies totally on the moisture sensor (it doesn't let you specify a set amount of time) , we are constantly checking to see if the clothes are dry and sometimes 'forget' about them and spend too much money drying clothes that are already dry. If someone could let me know what part is most likely the issue or how to determine what is the issue I'd appreciate it. I only paid $150 for the drier so I don't want to put much into it.
