Model may be: dgt400kw2
Dryer hasn't been used in a couple of years. I got it from my sister. I have the gas connected and am getting gas to the valve body but the ingniter doesn't seem to be working. I can't hear or see it spark.

i think you have the serial number listed instead of the model number. Can you please double check the number and repost. sounds like the ignitor may be out(if this model has one!)

You are right about the #. Model is : dgt400kw2. What is the easiest way to check WITHOUT A METER? I don't own a meter.

If it's not glowing and/or sparking just replace it. Part # AP3674313.
I would test the outlet first though.

I think my model is DGT400KW2-Kelvinator. When does it spark? I have the front panel off and can see the ignitor and when I hit the botton to start the dryer, I hear a pretty loud click, but don't see anything happen and I have the lights off to make sure. If it is the ignitor, I see that it unplugs down the wire about 1/2 way, but how do I disconect it at the end of the burner?

I can't tell from the diagram how it's connected, so I'll have to punt ans say VERY carfully. If you buy a ew one DO NOT touch the ignitor with your bare hands, wear gloves, the oils from your skin can mess them up.

Thanks, That part about touching it hadn't occured to me. Is there a simple way to test the ignitor without removal? I don't own a meter, but do have a test light(probe with ground clip). Will that work?

No, it you have to check for continuity. My guess would be just to change the ignitor.
