Hi I have a Kitchenaid Dryer KGYE660WWHO serial num MB1911480

It started having issues about a year ago, the heater did not come on but the drum turned. I found that by holding the start button in for a long period of time maybe 5-7 seconds that the igniter would light it it ran fine. After about 6 months I no longer needed to hold in the start button for an extended time and the dryer worked fine. Well my luck has run out the drum still turns but the heat is not working the igniter is not glowing. Logic wants me to get an igniter but I know it is more complicated then that. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks, Jeff

Hi Jeff,

There are a few parts in the heating circuit which have to be checked for continuity to find out exactly which one has to be replaced. You can find more specific instructions in one of our previous threads: http://forum.appliancepartspros...3-no-heat-gas-dryer.html

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL KGYE660WWH0 | AppliancePartsPros.com
