Angry dryer heats but drum dont get warm
Model Number: 86574710   Brand: Kenmore   Age: More than 10 years   

I replaced my belt in my kenmore dryer and the door switch,The heating element glows but the drum isnt even warm!!What sensor could that be?? everything else works ,It said to use a ohm meter set at R 1 and test the sensor.My ohm meter dont have that setting hmmm...

This is a strange one. Need more info. Does the blower blow air out the back, is your ducting clogged up?

yes it blows out the back!!!! no clogs as far as i can see

i never touched anything else...i put aload of towels in it and well. they did not dry at all!!!!!

Set your multimeter to the R X 1 setting. Take each of your meter's probes and touch one to each terminal. You are testing for continuity, and you should receive a reading of either zero or infinity. At room temperature, testing the thermostat should produce a reading of zero. But if a thermostat is tested when it is heated to its limit, a reading of infinity should be produced. We strongly recommend that you test your thermostat at room temperature.
rx10 is what im supose to use as a setting guess ill have to go get a dif ohm meter!!!!!
