drum wont turn dryer hums when you push the knob but wont go around

Can you identify where the rub noise is coming from? Does it sound like the drum rubbing on the front, sides, rear. If up front, run your hand along the inside between the drum and dryer front for anything like a penny caught between the drum and dryer lip.

I lifted the top and the belt is in tact and on the front side of drum is the rubbing

ok, with the top off, start the dryer and see if the drum tries to turn.

You may have a broken roller...Model PYE2300AYW

Or something is stuck in the blower wheel located at the lower left. To check further, you will need to remove the front of the dryer and inspect.
