My dryer was tumbling without heating, so I checked the internal parts and found that the heater coil is cut but also the timer wasn't finishing it's cycle so does that mean that the timer is also damaged or it's just because the heating process didn't complete?. To be more specific how can I test that the timer is working or not before buying a new heating coil?.

Thanks

On automatic temperature cycles, the timer advancement is by temperature, so no heat, no finish cycle.

Try your timed cycle and see if the timer moves.
