GE/Hotpoint has had a lot of timer problems. Stick 115 volts directly to the timer motor and verify it turns the timer. If not, you have a blown timer motor or a bad gear in the motor gearbox. Also, verify the timer motor has about 2.5 K resistance.

Thanks for the help, I put another timer in and it has been working every since. I guess sometimes you just get a bad one. Thanks again!
