Default dyrer no longer drying clothes efficiently
Model Number: LER4634EQ2   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

We have a whirlpool dryer model number LER4634EQ2 that is now taking two full cycles to dry a load of clothes. I was told by a friend that it is most likely the "heating element" that needs to be replaced but before purchasing the item wanted a second opinion.

Turn the dryer on and go outside to the vent, you should feel good airflow coming out the vent, if not, you have a blockage somewhere. Check the vent behind the dryer for a clog or kink. To verify it is a vent issue and not an element problem, disconnect the vent hose at the back nof the dryer and run a load, if it dries in normal time, your vent is clogged
