Default Dryer leaving burn marks
Model Number: DVL223GAOWW   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

There appears to be a gap at the front of the drum where clothes periodically become stuck and as a result, small brown burn streaks are created. I've read elsewhere that the felt seal needs to be replaced. Is this correct? And, if so, is this relatively straight forward for someone who's good at taking things apart / putting things together?

thanks very much for any help!

You are correct, the felt needs to be replaced, it's pretty straight forward, remove the front of the dryer, remove old felt, get rid of as much of the left over felt as possible. and glue the new one in place.

Appreciate the info. One last question... You mention above that the felt should be glued in place. Is there a special type of glue you'd recommend?

...disregard the question, just took a look at the part you suggested and see the glue.

again, much thanks.
