I've checked and have 120v on both legs.

I disassembled the dryer and ohmed the heating element, it ohmed at 12ohms.

I can't find the spec on the element on what it should ohm at.

So I'm startng to think its the over heating thermo cut off switch. I'm going to ohm it when I get off work.

I hope it's the switch the element is 140 bucks

Your element seems fine, check the safety thermostats and you should find the problem and yes, they are a lot less expensive.
