Default Dryer won't stop running
Model Number: ALE443RAW   Brand: Amana   Age: 5 - 10 years

Recently put in a new belt in dryer because it wouldn't tumble. Now, since this was done; it won't stop running. It has to be manually stopped.

Also, for the last year clothes will only dry using regular/high setting. Prefer to use perm./press medium, but doesn't get hot enough. Heating element?

Nothing in the owner's manual trouble shooting guide seems to help.
