No lights/flashing lights on Kenmore Elec Dryer
Model Number: 110.62042100 Brand: Kenmore Age: 5 - 10 years
Parents elec dryer (6 yrs old) has no lights on front - technician unplugged/plugged unit, lights came on for awhile, then flashed and then nothing. Said Touchpad assy needs replacement. I removed and tested touchpad function per "Tech Sheet". Had 5.6 m ohms on all buttons pressed.
Could this be a overheat related failure? Could it be Electronic Control board overheating. I found this thread and would rather not buy both parts if it is more likely just one part like the person on the following thread went through.
