Default Dryer won't heat AND making noise
Model Number: LGR7646EQ3   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

I had the T-stat and thermal fuse replaced 4 mo ago, and has worked great since. He said it burned out because of my venting config. I live in a 2 story, and they ran the vent from the base board on bottom floor up to the space between the 2 floors and out to the side of the house. However, I have been checking the air flow and it seems to be fine.

Now it doesn't heat and it is making a noise like something is hitting the drum. It runs for a few minutes with no noise then the noise starts. Don't know how to describe noise any better Sorry

You may have a partial duct restriction. I use a flow meter to check. You can buy a duct cleaning brush online called a "lint Eater", Just crunch that into Google to get it. You now probably have a blown thermal fuse located at the top of the heater cover. If a low frequency noise, you probably have a busted drum roller.
