Model Number: LER4634JQ1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Hello everyone... I am pretty new to this site, and have looked over it a good deal. There seems to be a lot of knowledgable people who help and visit here. So I am turning to you guys hopefully to help me look in the right direction.
Problem: Dryer will not turn on at all. I can not hear any hum noise when pushing or holding in the start button, and it just seems dead. Doesnt seem to be jammed. I turned the drum. It was very tight though. Dont remember it always being that tight to turn. I have checked brakers. Checked it with an ohm meter, and that turned up nothing. I have turned it with the clip inside the door pushed in, and the start button pushed in. It didnt start up then either. I do not see anything in the back to give away any kind of issues either. No burning sighted or anything like that. If any of you can help that would be great. Thank you Cass Ads By Google Related Models |

Cass,
Remove the rear panel and check the thermal fuse (#19 on the diagram) for continuity. If there is no continuity, replace it. - The thermal fuse Part number: AP3132867 Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for WHIRLPOOL LER4634JQ1 | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.

Here is your wiring diagram in case you do not have it
http://www.servicematters.com/docs/w...%208528187.pdf Also check the start switch. First I would check the power Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker. If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug L1 to L2 should be 240 volts L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts. If OK Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out If OK Check the power at the terminal strip. Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!
