Model Number: LEC6848AQ2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
The title pretty much says it all; the dryer works fine on the High heat setting, but Medium (Permanent Press) heat setting doesn't heat. I haven't had much luck finding the right wiring diagram, but I'm thinking this may be it, and the EX1, EX2, and EX3 in the schematic is the three position heat-setting switch on the dryer control panel?
So I have two questions. First of all, is that the correct wiring diagram for this dryer? If it is, and both low- and high-heat work, but not medium, then it looks like it would have to be the switch? Is there a better wiring diagram for this model somewhere that would tell me which pins on the heat-setting switches to test and which terminals on the heating coil to test for continuity to confirm the diagnosis?
