My wife's dryer will only heat up through the first 5 minutes or so, then doesn't heat up again. I watched the heater element light up and ignite the gas during the initial start-up, so it seems to be doing it's job. After that, I don't know.

Does anyone have any ideas where to go next? My wife is disabled and cannot be going to the laundromat, so this is where I hopefully step in.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Sharkster,

Most likely the problem with your dryer are a bad gas valve coils.

- The part number for the gas valve coil kit is AP3094251

Here are the break down diagrams for the Estate dryer Model TGDS680EQ3
