Orphis conversion
Model Number: mdg4000bwq Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi Ihave A Maytag Neptune dryer. I just changed the orphis over from lp to natural. when I fired the dryer up the burner is only igniting for about 15 seconds at a time then it shuts down for a couple of minutes and repeats the process again. The flame seems to be rather large and yellow. How long should the flame be? There is a shutter around the flame stamped Lp/nat. When I changed the orphis over I moved the shutter all the way over to natural.Does the shutter need to be adjusted still? Thanks

You also need to change out the vent cap.
On my LP conversion it has a plastic shaft on it. The NG does NOT have this shaft. Hope this helps someone in the future.
