Model Number: ler5636eq3   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years   
Terminal block got hot and melted have a green w/ yellow striped wire were does it connect is it the external ground it is soldered in with the white wire

If you have a three prong outlet, that wire goes to the middle terminal on the terminal block
