Default Mr
Model Number: MDB4040AWB   Brand: Maytag   Age: 5 - 10 years

I purchased two Maytag dishwashers in 1998.
I have had the same problem with both since the begining. The smallest washer spray arm holes (Upper an Lower) clog up with small pieces of food. I have to use tweezers or a small awl to pick the food out. Sometimes it looks like popcorn hulls, onions, or garlic. You get the picture. I have ckecked the filters and both are relatively clean and are securely seated so food particles do not look like they could pass by.
I have changed all of the washarms over time, because I damaged the holes in the washarms trying to clean them.

Is there a defect with this model, or is it a bad design?
