GE Potscrubber Dishwasher

Model Number: GSD550TBW Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years

I cannot get the Lock/Release button to release so I can completely shut the dishwasher, lock it, and begin the cycle. I used it last week, and it was fine. Help, ASAP, as we are trying to move and I NEED my dishwasher.
