Dishwasher Repair

Came home to find out my dishwasher won't start. My wife is downstairs hand-washing dishes and NOT happy

!! The lights on the control panel function but nothing happens when the start button is pushed. I have noticed over the past few months that the dishwasher has been running longer than usual but I assumed this was a water temperature issue. Is this a motor or panel issue? Any help appreciated

Are any of the control panel lights blinking?

No blinking lights but I can get any of the lights to light up by pushing their function button. Only button that does not respond is the "start" button.
