Model Number: DU1055xtsq2 Brand: Whirlpool Age: Less than 1 year
I did a poor job of installing this dishwasher a few months ago and apparently allowed the electrical leads to gound out on the copper water feed line. Worked fine until a few days ago. Had a tech out to inspect thinking it was a component failure, but he told me of my problem after looking under the machine. Said I need either a new capacitor or a whole new sump/motor assembly.
Question: If I replace the capacitor ($60) and not the whole assembly ($165) is there a likelyhood that I'll just wind up having to replace the whole assembly anyhow? Any advice would be appreciated before I pull this and repair it before re-installing it correctly. Thanks for your help. |
