Default Clarification on heater test.
Model Number: SHU 5315UC/U12   Brand: Bosch   Age: 5 - 10 years

I had trouble with my control module a while back, see post on appliance journal.com 2/10/2008 raymond. That seems to be fixed, now getting a #2 heating fault. I have not done the current test yet which isolates the possible failure to the heater, hi-limt or flow switch. If it fails this test I need to check the resistance of those components. The diagnostic manual I have(lucky enough to find it online)states to check these parts individually "once the tank has been removed or blocked up". I don't know what this means, any insight greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You do have to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet to access these three parts. They all are on the right hand side.

Here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHU5315 UC/12 (FD 8003-)
