Default Old Kitchen Aid heater control
Model Number: KUDC210s2   Brand: Kitchen Aid   Age: More than 10 years

Everything about this unit works, except the heater does not come on to heat the water. The heater element works, because it heats up during dry cycle. I looked at parts diagrams, don't see an aquastat or other obvious temp control to make a connection to turn on the heater during the wet cycles.

Gene has much to be proud of
Default

Check for continuity across the "AH" & "HS" terminals on the push button switch. Check the heating element for continuity too even if it seems to be hot at the end of the cycle.

If there is nothing wrong then the timer has to be replaced.

- The part number for the timer is AP3124204

Here are the break down diagrams and the wiring diagram for the Kitchen Aid dishwasher Model KUDC210S2 .
