Default Bosch dishwasher won't run
Model Number: SHV4303UC   Brand: Bosch   Age: 5 - 10 years

We just installed a Bosch dishwasher that has been sitting unused for about 1 year. It won't start on any cycle. It sound like it is starting, then just stops. I am wondering if it is worth repairing - or should I just look for a new diswhasher? This one has cabinet panels and match the kitchen, so I would want to keep that feature. Thanks

Most likely the problem is a stuck wash (circulation) pump.

You can rebuild the old pump, using circulation pump repair kit or replace the whole circulation pump assembly. In both cases the dishwasher has to be removed from the cabinet.

- The part number for the circulation pump repair kit is AP2802376

- The part number for the circulation pump assembly is AP2826384

Here are the break down diagrams for the Bosch dishwasher Model SHV4303 UC/11 (FD 8002-8003)

Hi - thanks - I had a service person come today - he said the motor is "locked" and not working. He quoted $490.00 for new motor and install. Now I need to decide if it is worth it on this 8 year old dishwasher - any thoughts? Thanks
Allison

Hi Alison,

If you can fix it yourself then you pay for the part only $147.44.

If you can see the labor charge down from $490 estimated price, you have do decide if it's worth it when you buy the part yourself.

Your final decision should be based on the condition of the unit.

Hi - thanks - I don't think I can do the repair - and will proceed to have it fixed. I do appreciate your feedback.

Default Do you REALLY need to buy the whole kit for a leak?!

We have a leak at the flange between circ pump and its housing on a SHU9925 Bosch dishwasher.
It seems the only way to get parts for that is to buy the entire kit (AP2802376)

Is that really true or necessary?

Thanks
Pete

This is a duplicated question.

Answered here: Do you REALLY need to buy the whole kit for a leak?!.
