Dishwasher Repair

Our dishwasher recently started making a loud humming noise during normal operation. It doesn't appear to be effecting it's washing effectiveness, but it has made the operation much louder and I'm worried that it's just the start of worse things to come. I've attached a short 30 second mp3 in hopes that this is a common sound and something I can attempt to fix. Any advice would be appreciated.

I had the same exact sound you had. Now the dishwasher doesn't clean. I should have taken that sound to be a warning sign! I set the dishwasher to clean when I went on a business trip and I came home to dirty dishes. I tried it again, and it doesn't seem to be spinning. No loud sound anymore. Now just water running and then silence.

Any luck finding the culprit?
