I've read similar posts, but I do not know how to check the hose for a clog. I have removed the sets of screens and cleaned them. Water is standing up to the heating element.

Thanks!

Remove the toe panel, press the Cancel pad and see if the drain pump runs. Post the result.

Gene,

thanks for responding.

I pressed the Start/Cancel button and it started the timer/cycle, so I pressed it again, the timer and digital number went off, but I could hear the motor or pump running. The water was not draining. The humming noise continued until I pressed the button a third time.

I tried this several times, but the water was not draining completely. We've used it twice, the water seems to drain somewhat because it's below the heating element.

Have you removed the toe panel?

I cant remove the wooden panel infront of the washer from when it was installed in the cabinetry...is there another way to check for a blockage without removing the toe plate?

Unfortunately it has to be removed to access the drain hose and/or pump. Very possible you'll need to remove the whole dishwasher from the cabinet for repair.

Finally got the toe panel off and yes the pump works, I can see standing water in the clear drainage tube and when I shake it, can see the air bubbles heading to the drainage pipe...where should I disconnect to have the least amount leakage? or what do I do next?

pulled the hose from the house drain...turned on the dishwasher and it drained properly into a bucket. The clog is in the trap I am guessing...so I am gonna try and clean that out...thanks for getting me started!

never fixed the dishwasher. Undid the screw on the trap and all the water drained out. Ran the dishwasher again, but the water pooled inside and did not drain. could the clog be further down the line near the waste stack? suggestions?
