Default Whirlpool timer hangs up in wash cycle @ 36minutes
Model Number: GU1500XTKQ0 GOLD QUIET PARTNER IV   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

I have recently installed a new heating element and circuit control board, both were needed, however new board hangs up in the normal wash cycle @ 36 minutes, the unit keeps running, however the "sensing/soaking" and "water heating" lights are on, I can perform the procedure to enable advancing the cycle and when I do that, the 2 lights go off and the timer window begins to advance and the wash cycle progresses to it's normal end, I have checked the water and it is hot, I have reset the board a number times and that hasn't helped, the old board stuck at 76 minutes with the "water heating" light on and I think that burned out the original heating element. Any HELP would be appreciated.

Gene has much to be proud of
Default

As part of normal operation, the dishwasher pauses 2 or 3 times during the cycle for thermal holds and advances once temperature is met.

If temperature of the water entering the dishwasher is at least 120°F and the soil level is light than the real time to complete the "Normal wash" is about 90 minutes. The cooler the water the longer the cycle time.

Measure the water temperature in the dishwasher during a thermal hold and if it's more than 160°F then replace the thermistor.

- The part number for the thermistor is AP3039201

Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dishwasher Model GU1500XTKQ0
